Michael Young

VP of Business Development

Michael Young is the Vice President of Business Development at NSTXL, where he oversees all Business Development efforts. In his role, he supports the growth of NSTXL’s core competencies, identifies the expansion of existing programs and pursues new opportunities.

Michael served in the Air Force for 22+ years as a Space and Missile officer, where he held many vital staff, squadron, group and wing positions. Prior to his final assignment as Inspector General, he led operations and maintenance of Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Highly Elliptical Orbit (HEO) sensors while managing over 220 active duty, reserve military and civilian contractors. During this time, he was selected to be the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) SME for the 2016 Space Enterprise Vision Study. Michael was also deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as an Embedded Training Team lead.

Before NSTXL, Michael served as Director of Business Development for Boecore, where he utilized his industry expertise to expand Boecore’s Space and Missile Defense sectors. Michael holds a master’s degree in Business Management from Kaplan University and has obtained a multitude of professional and military certifications. He now resides in Lubbock, Texas.
